The five-day festival will cover sports, business, and the arts

July 12, 2021 – Amsterdam, The Netherlands: The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) today announced the launch of the GAMMA Revolution Fest 2021 – an inaugural five-day festival that will cover sports, business, and the arts, and culminate in the finale of the first-ever Asian MMA Championship.

Organised in partnership with the Kyrgyzstan Federation MMA and PF, the GAMMA Revolution Fest will be held in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan from August 24 to 28. The highlight of the event is the Asian MMA Championship, which will feature elite-level amateurs from across the continent fighting in a total of 32 weight classes across two divisions – MMA and Striking MMA.

“The GAMMA Revolution Fest is in line with our long-term ambition to promote MMA by delivering engaging global events, advocating values such as sportsmanship, and driving positive change,” said GAMMA President Alexander Engelhardt.

In addition to being a platform for elite sports, the GAMMA Revolution Fest also aims to connect people through business and the arts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to:

  • Network with likeminded peers at three forums on business, influencers, and information technology;
  • Celebrate diverse Asian cultures at a film festival; and
  • Hone their mental dexterity in an amateur chess competition.

Babur Tolbaev, President of the Kyrgyzstan Federation MMA & PF said: “I want to see our athletes become influencers, bloggers, filmmakers, ambassadors, social activists, entrepreneurs, business people, actors, police officers, coaches, and event managers. I hope they try new sports and consider themselves socially responsible citizens of the world.”
