The countdown is on to the GAMMA 2021 Asian MMA Championship, which starts tomorrow at the beautiful Solemar Resort, site of the competition venue and Athlete’s Village on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan.

Great efforts have been made by all the teams to arrive in Kyrgyzstan and the delegations have been sharing their experiences of their trips. With all teams arriving on time, including the Palestinian delegation who arrived with minutes to spare, registration is now complete and the scene is set for some fantastic competition over the next three days.

In total, there will be more than 120 bouts from 26-28 August.

Following the Official Draw, there will be some tough battles in the ring with a great mix of experienced athletes and some new faces from the smaller teams who could very well cause some surprises.

Preparations for the competition have included a series of seminars to ensure that the officials are fully updated on the latest rules and regulations for MMA and Striking MMA, which makes its official GAMMA debut during the Asian Championship.

In addition to the athletes and officials that have made it to Kyrgyzstan, there is also a big media contingent that is ready to record all the great stories of the tournament and broadcast them across the globe.

The tournament will be streamed live on the GAMMA Facebook page from 12:00 local time (08:00 CET) tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing some new heroes crowned at what is sure to be a memorable championship this week.
