When athletes from GAMMA Palestine competed at last week’s GAMMA Asian MMA Championship 2021 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, they had a powerhouse support team in their corner that included combat sports cryptocurrency FightCoin, the Palestine Olympic Committee and Sports for Everybody.

Thanks to separate financial support from the Palestine Olympic Committee and FightCoin, a team of eleven was able to travel to Kyrgyzstan for the 24-28 event.
FightCoin partnered with Sports For Everybody to raise funds to finance the GAMMA Palestine team, which returned home from the Asian Championship with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

“I would like to send a big thank-you to the Palestine Olympic Committee for their support of the Palestinian MMA Team competing in Kyrgyzstan,” said Nizar Taleb, head of Sports For Everybody. “Thank you also to FightCoin for sponsoring our team, for believing in the Palestinian team, for believing in the need of our athletes, especially in the refugee camps.”
Taleb, a former three-time World Kickboxing Champion who represented Palestine on the world stage, was born into a Palestinian Refugee Camp in Lebanon, which is where he draws his inspiration to support refugees through combat sports. To date, he has built kickboxing schools in seven Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. Through his organisation, he has supplied equipment and funded tournaments and travel for athletes.
FightCoin first teamed up with Sports For Everybody after learning of the incredible work that the United States-registered non-profit organisation does on behalf of children, especially refugees, in communities that cannot afford to practice sport.
The cryptocurrency had previously partnered with Sports for Everybody to sponsor two kickboxing tournaments in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
FightCoin says it will continue providing direct support to empower the spread of martial arts and combat sports in Palestine. “In these refugee camps, there is little opportunity or joy for the hundreds of thousands of young ones,” the company said on its Facebook page. “Together we can create a powerful, widespread, funded framework for all the youth within these camps to at least have access to martial arts.
“This will give the youth hope, connection, opportunity, strength and so much more.
The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) is also a proud partner of Sports for Everybody.
