The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) is pleased to announce a number of exciting MMA events taking place in Europe and Asia in the coming weeks aimed at developing the amateur side of the sport in the respective continents.

On 23 October, the official GAMMA representative in Slovakia, the Slovakia Organisation of Mixed Martial Arts (SOMMA), will host the first of four MMA events featuring athletes from Slovakia squaring off against their peers from the Czech Republic.

The Czecho-Slovakia Cup is a MMA competition between Slovakia and the Czech Republic

Billed as the Czecho-Slovakia Cup, the joint Czech-Slovak production with the Czech MMA Association MMAA will see two events organised in Slovakia and two in the Czech Republic. Up-and-coming young talent as well as national champions will participate in the event, the first stage of which will be held in Poprad-Matejovce, Slovakia.

SOMMA, which became a GAMMA member in July this year, organizes a national MMA league and is also active in international tournaments. They are also expected to field a strong Slovak team to participate at the upcoming GAMMA European Championships 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine from 5-9 November.

Over in Asia, provisional members GAMMA India (GAMMAI) and the All Indian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) will both be conducting their own selections from 21-24 October and 28-31 October respectively, to form a team that will compete at the World Championships in December.
