Youth and Novice MMA athletes in the USA will have plenty of opportunities in the New Year to get back into action after GAMMA USA announced its competition schedule for the first quarter of 2022.

The first competition of the year is set to take place only two weeks into the new year, with a SE Winter Regional event in South Carolina this Saturday 15 January in conjunction with Ray Thompson’s Upstate Karate. The event will include a special guest appearance from local MMA star Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Registrations are already open here.

The events will continue across the country, including stops in Milwaukee, Kansas, Orlando, New York, Louisiana, Iowa and Tennessee all taking place before Easter.

15 January: SE Winter Regional (Simpsonville, South Carolina)

29 January: GAMMA Winter Open (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

05 February: Kansas Youth Open (Newton, Kansas)

19 February: Florida State Open (Orlando, Florida)

05 March 5: N.E. Novice & Youth Classic (Brooklyn, New York) 

19 March 19: Louisiana Showcase (Lafayette, Louisiana)

09 April: Tri State Regional Championship (Sioux City, Iowa)

16 April: Tennessee Open (East Ridge, Tennessee)

With additional events planned, including the Youth National Championships tentatively scheduled for the summer, there are a number of great opportunities across North America for amateur MMA athletes looking to take the next step in their careers.
