August 21 in 2022 will be a special date for the history of MMA in Argentina as GAMMA Argentina will stage its first-ever event. The National Championships, which will take place in Rosario, 300 kilometers from Buenos Aires, is set to feature 60 athletes from all over the country in multiple weight categories.

Commenting on the buildup to the event, Lucio Gianni representing GAMMA Argentina said, “we are really excited to promote amateur MMA and to write the first chapter of our history. Our Athletes will all want to prove that they are the best on this stage and will be looking for a place in our national rankings in order to qualify for the GAMMA continental and world championships.”

On the sidelines of the event, and in conjunction with GAMMA, seminars on injury prevention, weight cutting, and hydration will be given by the national team physiotherapist and a doctor specialising in nutrition for combat sports.
