The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) is pleased to announce that the 2022 edition of the GAMMA European Championships will take place from 24-28 September 2022 in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The competition venue, the multi-purpose Tbilisi Sports Palace, will be transformed to welcome the very best MMA athletes in Europe next month for what will surely be a highly competitive competition. With ten weight categories for men and seven for women in both MMA and striking MMA disciplines, there will be a plenty of medals up for grabs.

As part of a busy schedule in Tbilisi, the International Testing Agency (ITA) will be conducting anti-doping seminars for athletes and coaches. These seminars are a very important part of the mission of GAMMA to provide education to all MMA athletes and follow on from the successful and informative seminars that took place during the 2021 European and World Championships.

“Our European Championships are an extremely important event in the calendar,” said GAMMA President Alexander Engelhardt. “GAMMA continues to find the best opportunities for our athletes to showcase their skills and to promote our great sport to new audiences, and these Championships in Tbilisi will surely achieve both goals.”

The GAMMA European Championships kickstart a busy schedule of Continental events planned over the next number of months. The flagship event of the year, the 2022 GAMMA World Championships is set for December.
