Beginning the tour with a stop in Singapore, Engelhardt took the opportunity to meet with Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship Chatri Sityodtong, to discuss the ongoing strategic partnership that the two organisations have. This was followed by a visit to Thailand where he had the opportunity to meet with the National Federation and the local organising committee ahead of the planned GAMMA Asian Championships later this year.
This visit was also an ideal moment to receive an update on the work being done by the Fight for the Future foundation which is a project in partnership with GAMMA working to provide underprivileged families and their children with financial and academic opportunities through martial arts.

The final stop of the busy tour of the region was Cambodia where the National Federation were able to share their development plans for the sport in the country and express their interest in becoming an active partner of the Fight for the Future Foundation going forward.

“It is so important to be able to travel and visit our Member Federations in person. Each one is unique and working extremely hard to develop our great sport in their respective countries. Our role as the international federation is to listen to our members and provide support and assistance to them in the most appropriate ways. I have been extremely impressed by the work being done and express my sincere gratitude for the very warm welcome I have received.” said Alexander Engelhardt following his visit to the region.
Over the coming weeks and months, the organisation will be focusing its attention on the staging of the continental championships and planning for the GAMMA World Championships 2022 schedule for the end of the year.
