The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) is pleased to announce that the GAMMA World MMA Championships 2023 will take place from 6-10 December 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Thailand is fast becoming a home from home for the very best MMA events after Pattaya played host to the GAMMA Asian-Pacific Championships in 2022 and Bangkok staged the recent AMMA Championships.

GAMMA’s flagship event will feature three competition days in the Thai capital as well as a full programme of seminars and the GAMMA World Congress which will take place on Thursday 7 December. These World Championships are eagerly awaited following the last edition, the rearranged 2021 event which took place in Amsterdam in March 2022. Around 300 athletes are expected to take part in MMA and Striking MMA categories.

“It is great to bring another one of our Championships to Thailand,” said GAMMA President Alexander Engelhardt. “We have seen the organising capabilities of our member in Thailand, the International Fighting Sports Association (IFSA), and I am confident that our World Championships will be another fantastic event.”

The 2023 GAMMA World Championships will bring down the curtain on a busy year of events which included the Oceania and Central American Championships, as well as the recent U18 World Championships.
