GAMMA has announced that the 2024 European Championships will take place in Slovakia from 12 to 19 May after an agreement to host was signed yesterday (9 January). For the very first time at a continental championship, an U18 competition will be included in the programme alongside the senior competition.

The GAMMA European community will be hosted in one of Slovakia’s major tourist destinations, Vysoké Tatry located in the High Tatras mountain region of the country. Hosting major sporting events is part of the ambition for the region after having hosted FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in previous years and now thanks to the work of the Slovakia Organisation MMA (SOMMA), they will also be able to list a major MMA event as part of their achievements in the future.

The last GAMMA European Championships took place in Georgia in 2022 and this 2024 edition is set to be even bigger and will be another highlight of what will be a busy year for GAMMA events, beginning in March with the African Games in Ghana.
