The Asociación de MMA Honduras has entered four prospects for the upcoming 2024 GAMMA Pan American Championships in Rosario, Argentina.

The Honduran squad includes 30-year-old National Boxing Champion, Erick Napoleón Tzoc Rodríguez (left), who will be competing in Striking MMA at -70.3 kg; and Central American and Mexican Champion, Santos Isaias Rivera Hernandez (below), participating in the disciplines of MMA & Striking MMA at -61.2 kg. Hernandez has accrued experience across various regional leagues.

The two other talents on the team are both dedicated fulltime to combat sports training. These are 19-year-old Guillermo Alexander Mahoudeau Miron (61.2kg) competing in MMA and 24-year-old Héctor Manuel Hernandez Guete entering the Striking MMA tournament, also at -61.2 g.

All athletes are first-time competitors on the GAMMA platform.

The three-day Pan American championships commences on 5 July at the Club Náutico, hosted by GAMMA ARGENTINA (Asociacion Civil con Personeria Juridica de Artes Marciales y Deportes de Combate). It will be live streamed internationally. Athlete registration and preclearance concludes onsite on 3 July followed by the tournament draw.

Other attending nations so far include: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay and USA.
