GAMMA Belize has registered its mixed martial arts A-Team for the 2024 GAMMA Pan American Championships taking place in Rosario, Argentina from 5th to 7th July.

Registered competition includes national teams from: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay and USA.

The three-day nations tournament will be hosted by GAMMA ARGENTINA (Asociacion Civil con Personeria Juridica de Artes Marciales y Deportes de Combate) and live-streamed internationally from Club Náutico.

The Belizean team comprises the following athletes with notable track records:


Hailing from Orange Walk Town,  the undefeated Pro FC Amateur Bantamweight Champion is the number one pound-for-pound fighter in Belize. Just turned eighteen, the rising talent remains a student outside of MMA.


Also originating from Orange Walk Town, twenty-year-old Thomas Godfrey has precedent in GAMMA having achieved a Silver Medal in the Central American MMA Championships in Nicaragua in 2023.  Also holding the title of Pro FC Amateur Welterweight Champion, Godfrey’s day job is within the sport as an Assistant Coach.


Twenty-four-year-old Vasquez is Pro FC’s #1 ranked Flyweight out of San Ignacio. When he’s not in the gym, he works as a Video Editor by day.

Jan Gabb (65.8kg) and U18 youth competitor, Johan Rodriguez (63.5kg) complete the five-man team.
