  • FT. THREE TOURNAMENTS: SENIOR MMA; STRIKING MMA; YOUTH MMA

 We are just 10 days away from the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts’ 2024 Pan American Championships, which commence in Rosario, Argentina on 5 July.

National teams are set to arrive on 3 July for official weigh-ins and medical clearance. The three-day nations, mixed martial arts and Striking MMA tournaments will then play out until 7th July at the city’s Club Náutico.

Hosted by GAMMA ARGENTINA (Asociacion Civil con Personeria Juridica de Artes Marciales y Deportes de Combate), the continental championships is drawing senior and junior talent from across North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Participating teams include: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, USA.

The MMA bouts are under GAMMA Amateur MMA Rules to enable consecutive days of safe combat competition, but are open to both amateur and professional, elite martial arts competitors. Pan America’s MMA Youth Championships is open for 16 – 17-year-olds.

Lucio Gianni, GAMMA Argentina said in a message to attending teams:

“We are ready in Rosario to receive you. For us Argentinians, it means a lot to have the best athletes from across the continent in our city and in country to see who really is the best in Pan America.”

José Rivera,  President of Nicaraguan Mixed Martial Arts Commission, which is sending a team said:

“This July 5th will be the 1st GAMMA Pan American Championship in Rosario, Argentina. Without a doubt a historic event for the entire continent, it will be the first step in uniting the entire MMA community in the American continent, having representatives from North, Central and South America. This event will mark a before and after for the region, providing a platform for all those future prospects who want to make a name for themselves in a championships where they face the best on the continent.”
